Guest Eatontoomanygalaxys Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 I have bought a lead for my Golf which works fine and reads the fault codes. I have plugged it in to the Gal but cant communicate with it. Should it work ? Is it a Ford system of VW ? Quote

big_kev Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 It is a VW system. Some parts of the car are Ford ( eg the engine ) but most of the car isnt and should be readable via VagCom. Most likely that the lead you have is incorrect or your settings on the software are wrong. Quote
